This surah is known both as Ad-Dahr (“Time”) and Al-Insan (“The Human Being”), after words in its first verse. quran.com lists it under the name Al-Insan (الانسان) and classifies it as Madani, although its chapter notes say most commentators regard it as Makki. In the revelation-order list used by quran.com, it is number 98 of 114. In the order of the Mushaf it comes after Surah Al-Qiyamah and before Surah Al-Mursalat.
The surah reminds people of their real place in the world and of where thankfulness and thanklessness lead.
