How We Select & Certify Every Teacher

We don’t just hire teachers of the Quran; we grow a team of educators. All applicants undergo a four-stage process before joining our faculty.

Application & Document Review

Each applicant presents their academic credentials, Ijaazah certificates and their teaching history. Our academic team reviews each document for authenticity and relevance. Only candidates meeting our baseline standards advance.

Live Tajweed Assessment

The final stage is a live oral exam by a senior Qari where the candidate is examined on Makharij al-Huruf, Sifat, the rules of Madd, Waqf and Ibtida. The teacher has to recite almost flawlessly to pass. This stage eliminates more than 60% of the applicants.

Teaching Ability Trial

The shortlisted candidates have a mock teaching session with a real student. We judge them on how well they explain, how quickly they teach, feedback and adjusting for different speeds of learning. Especially with kids.

Background Check & Onboarding

Approved teachers will be subject to a detailed background and character check. They then go through our structured onboarding programme, where we explain our teaching methodology, communication standards and progress-reporting system.

Every teacher who joins our Quran Academy Online must meet all of the following — not some, all of them.

Sanad & Ijaazah in Quran Recitation

The Quran teachers we have at our Quran academy online possess genuine certificates of Sanad and Ijazah, tracing their recitations of the Quran back to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ in a chain of certified scholars.

Formal Islamic Education — Minimum 4 Years

All teachers have gone through the formal Islamic education curriculum from recognized institutions having deep knowledge of Tajweed, Tafsir, Fiqh, Aqeedah, and Quranic studies. The well-established academic background makes sure that the students get reliable Islamic guidance.

Minimum 3 Years of Teaching Experience

We have many teachers who have gained a lot of practical teaching experience by teaching children, adults, and new learners how to recite the holy book in a professional way.

Professional English Communication

You need to be able to communicate in English fluently and confidently, as you will be teaching students from the USA, UK, Canada, Australia and the rest of the English-speaking world.
