The Arabic name of Surah Al-Bayyinah is البينة. Al-Bayyinah means “The Clear Evidence” (quran.com: “The Clear Proof”). The word occurs at the end of the first verse. quran.com lists it as Madani; its notes record that scholars differ on whether it was revealed in Makkah or Madinah. In the revelation-order list used by quran.com, it is number 100 of 114. In the order of the Mushaf it comes after Surah Al-Qadr and before Surah Az-Zalzalah.
