Every teacher at Smart Quran Academy is rigorously tested, background-verified, and certified in Tajweed and Quran sciences before ever teaching a single student. We accept fewer than 12% of all applicants.
We don't just hire Quran teachers — we build a team of educators. Each applicant goes through a four-stage evaluation before joining our faculty.
Every applicant submits their academic credentials, Ijaazah certificates, and teaching history. Our academic team reviews each document for authenticity and relevance. Only candidates meeting our baseline standards advance.
A senior Qari conducts a live oral examination evaluating Makharij al-Huruf, Sifat, rules of Madd, Waqf, and Ibtida. Teachers must demonstrate near-perfect recitation. This stage eliminates over 60% of applicants.
Shortlisted candidates conduct a simulated teaching session with a real student. We evaluate their ability to explain concepts clearly, manage lesson pacing, provide feedback, and adapt to different learning speeds — especially with children.
Approved teachers undergo a thorough background and character verification. They then complete our structured onboarding program covering our teaching methodology, communication standards, and progress-reporting system.
Every teacher who joins Smart Quran Academy must meet all of the following — not some, all of them.
A connected chain of narration (Sanad) traced back to the Prophet ﷺ through an unbroken scholarly tradition. The gold standard of Quranic authority.
A degree or diploma from a recognised Islamic university or institution covering Fiqh, Aqeedah, Tafsir, and Tajweed sciences — not self-study alone.
Proven classroom or online teaching experience with documented student outcomes. New graduates are not accepted without mentored teaching history.
Clear, confident English communication skills are required to teach students from the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, and across the English-speaking world.
We don't assign one teacher to teach everything. Each course has dedicated specialists — ensuring your child gets an expert, not a generalist.
Behind every successful student is a teacher who truly cares. Here are some of the dedicated educators who make up our certified faculty.
A Hafiz-ul-Quran with Ijaazah in Hafs 'an 'Asim, Ustad Abdullah has taught Quran to over 400 students across 15 countries. His patient, structured methodology produces measurable results within weeks.
Ustadha Fatimah holds a degree in Quranic Sciences from a leading Islamic university. Specialising in early childhood Quran education, she uses creative, child-friendly techniques that make beginners love their classes.
One of the few teachers holding Ijaazah in all 10 accepted Qirat. Qari Muhammad has spent 14 years teaching advanced recitation to students globally, with graduates now teaching in their own communities worldwide.
The teacher's knowledge of Tajweed is extraordinary. She corrected mistakes my son had for years in just two sessions. Her patience and dedication to accuracy is unlike anything we experienced before joining Smart Quran Academy.
I was sceptical about online Quran teaching, but the quality of our teacher truly surprised us. He holds Ijaazah and it shows — every lesson is focused, structured, and deeply knowledgeable. My daughter's recitation improved dramatically.
We specifically requested a female teacher for our teenage daughter and were matched within 24 hours. The ustadha is warm, knowledgeable, and professional. Our daughter now recites with confidence and beautiful Tajweed — alhamdulillah.
